Congratulations to everyone for us being awarded the International School Award for the next four years, The British Council said: Your school is clearly committed to the ongoing development of global citizenship via a combination of curriculum/classroom-based learning and international study visits, supported by your links with partner schools in different regions of the world. An international and global dimension is firmly embedded in your curriculum and whole-school ethos and planning. Mrs Cooper collected the award on behalf of the school from The British Council in London on Monday ~ Huge thank you to Teresa House and Year 8 for the amazing Christmas boxes they are collecting to send to refugees around the world with the Samaritans ~ A massive thank you to the Music Department and all of our amazing students for a truly superb Consortium Concert that was held at St Mary's Church last Thursday with Hitchin Boys' School and The Priory School ~ A huge well done to Sarah Braybrooke, Clarissa Dakin, Louisa Field, Hettie Innis, Kaschta Jan, Charlotte Perrin,  Micia Symonds, Jessica Tindall-Foskett and Emma Watson - on delivering and filming a presentation for their AQA English Language and Literature Exam. You were impressive! - Mrs Mani ~ Well done to the Year 11 Netball team who won the District Tournament! ~ Congratulation to all athletes involved in last weeks District Cross-Country. Years 8,10 and Seniors were all Team Champions! ~ We also had a number of top 3 finishers: Bluebell Cooke, Molly Green, Catherine Hodge, Molly Astill, Lizzie Raymont and an individual champion Katie Saunders. Well done all runners! ~ Huge thank you to everyone involved in the amazing fundraising taking place this week in school for the children we sponsor in Ecuador ~ Congratulations to Chloe Hilton & Sarah Wollas who finished joint 4th in the Herts golf singles championships with Sarah also finishing in 3rd place overall for the singles ~ Many congratulations go to the Year 7 & 8 football team who won their match 5-4 on penalties, they now progress to the 4th round of the Schools National Cup ~
