County cross-country championships
On Saturday 5 February, six students took part in the Hertfordshire Schools Cross Country Championships across the various age groups. Despite some very windy and muddy conditions, the effort and determination from all of the girls was outstanding.
In the Pre-Junior Girls (Year 7), Edythe Oughton and Hannah Cook placed 11th and 21st respectively. In the Junior Girls (Year 8 and 9), Fran Hart finished a creditable 37th place in a very large field of competitors. In the Inter Girls (Year 10 and 11), Abigail Manson and Imogen Rose finished 6th and 19th respectively. Lucy Storey was our only Senior (Year 12 and 13) representative, who finished in 9th position.
These are brilliant achievements and the girls should be very proud of themselves. Congratulations to Edythe and Abigail who will now go on to compete at the National finals in March - we wish them the best of luck.
