A Space To Be

A Space To Be… is a wellbeing project for young people aged 14–18.  Based in museums, artists will use objects from the collection as inspiration for making art, poetry and stories.  This is not art therapy, simply a way to give young people who are stressed, anxious or generally feeling low some time out in a friendly, safe and supportive environment. Most importantly – they don’t need any experience – everyone is welcome including complete beginners.  It is NOT a formal art class. The workshops are free and young people will take part in 9 sessions of 2 hrs each from 4.30pm to 6.30pm working in groups of around 10.  Pizza will be provided to ensure that they don’t go hungry!  These workshops take place at North Herts Museum, Hitchin in early March.  Young people can join up till week 3.
