Students are invited to join Deloitte's Career Shapers (Inspiring Black Talent), a three-day virtual programme on 29–31 July. They will hear directly from the Deloitte team, explore pathways, and build key skills through interactive activities. • Hands-on experience with real business projects — including a live profit & loss analysis

• A chance to take on a consulting brief and pitch to industry professionals

If so, then this work experience is for you! This May Half Term break, we have teamed up with some of the world's biggest law firms to give students an incredible insight into what it’s really like to work in the industry and become a top lawyer at a leading international law firm. 

If you think you’ve got what it takes to step into the shoes of a corporate lawyer for the day and have a go at some real-world cases, then this event is for you!

What to Expect

  • Employers attedning are Fragomen, A&O Shearman, Farrer & Co, Charles Russell Speechlys and The University of Law 

  • An opportunity to take part in legal workshops, hear from international law firms as well as the UK’s biggest university offering law degrees

  • Networking opportunities in the virtual booths

Year 13 students who are thinking of taking a gap year but want to explore careers in STEM

The Engineering Development Trust is a charity that helps to link up students to employers. It provides opportunities to explore STEM career areas ahead of going to university.

Applications are made to the EDT, who work with employers to find placements for applicants. Applications are open now and the programme is free.

You need to submit a CV and a personal statement - guidelines are given on their website. If you are successful, the work placement is paid.

Young Historian Awards 2026

The purpose of these Prizes is to encourage you to think, research and frame your own questions that you will answer from further reading and research. This might be the result of a piece of work your teacher has set you to do at home, or it may be a piece of research you are carrying out for your own interest. It is also an opportunity to perhaps tell some of the untold stories around the themes.

 Deadline: 17th July

 Open to: students aged from 11 to 19
