European Day of Languages
On 26 September we marked the European Day of Languages, to celebrate the richness of languages and cultures found in Europe, as well as highlighting the importance of multilingualism and the fun of learning new languages.
We celebrated in tutor time with a quiz, of guessing the language in videos of students and staff speaking foreign languages.
In an unintended tie-in, we had German day in the dining room on the Thursday, with a menu featuring German-style doner wraps, potato rosti, sausages and schnitzel!
And coming up, we have French Pen Pal Group as a new addition to the extracurricular timetable! Open to all Year 9s and taking place at lunchtime on Mondays, this will be a chance to write letters in French to students in France.
