    Year 13 Student

I have been at Hitchin Girls School since Year 7 and I am now entering Year 13, I have really enjoyed learning throughout my time here and explored interesting subjects linked to current affairs and global topics. At A level I study Maths, Chemistry and Geography and love the diversity of these subjects. The support from teachers throughout my time here has been incredible both in subjects and as extra-curricular activities. I have been given invaluable opportunities at this school including becoming a peer mentor and attending SGLI. I am excited to continue my HGS experience next year and build on the skills I have learned later in life & at University.

    Year 12 Student

I joined Hitchin Girls' School in 2011, and am currently in year 12, studying Geography, Latin and Food Science and Nutrition. I really enjoy studying such a diverse range of subjects. Being at Hitchin Girls' School has given me the opportunity to do so many things I didn't even know existed when I was in primary school - including the arts award, and Duke Of Edinburgh. I am not particularly good at art or sport, but these allowed me to develop those skills in a way that was comfortable and enjoyable for me. I've also been involved in school plays, school trips (I visited Holland, Barcelona and Greece with school), reward trips, and clubs such as learning leaders. When I leave school, I hope to study to be a primary school teacher - through school, I have taken part in things such as the language leaders award, ambassador roles in food tech and helping someone in the lower years with her maths. I think these things have given me more experience, to learn the skills, and to ensure that it is definitely the career I want to do!
