  • Our Food Club students recently made a wonderful range of sweet and savoury Palmiers. Brilliant work everyone!

  • Thanks to those who took part in our recent #JeansforGenes Day, a jeans mufti day & cake sale to raise funds for families living with genetic disorders, which raised £1,530. A special mention to Caitlin in Year 7, who baked this fab cake featuring the HGS badge made of Smarties!

  • All Year 7s were given the chance to choose a free book from an exciting selection of 17 titles funded by #TheBookTrust charity and HGS. All 210 books now arrived and distributed to excited Year 7s! We hope this will continue to promote a love of reading here at Hitchin Girls'.

  • Lots of ghostly games, creepy crafts and terrifying treats at the Year 7 Halloween Fair today. Happy half-term all!

  • It's almost Halloween, time to head up to our library and check out our spooky selection! We've got it all from witches to werewolves and ghosts to ghouls. Whether it's humour, horror or gruesome graphic novels, we're sure to have a story that will send shivers down the spine!

  • GCSE Musicians had a fabulous time last night going to see Wicked! #wickedmusical

  • After a two-year gap, the Year 10 Netball team attended their first fixture on Thursday 14th October. They displayed great teamwork and determination to win against St. Chris 20-0 and St. Francis' College 16-19. Well played girls!

  • Our Sixth Form Open Day is this Thursday 21st October. Book your place on a tour and also take a look at the new Hitchin Consortium website:

  • Last week Year 9 History students had the chance to try out World War I soldiers' uniform and equipment, kindly loaned by @AngelsCostumes. The girls discovered first-hand just how heavy and uncomfortable they were to wear and carry.

  • Hockey Club after school has been cancelled tonight (18 Oct) due to unforeseen circumstances. Your child is to go home after school as normal. However, if this is not possible, your child can attend Homework Club in the library after school. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
