  • Our Year 7 students Rosie Black and Lois Eaton went above and beyond by adding animation to their homework of recording their reading of a poem - enjoy their excellent representations of 'Storm on the Island' by #SeamusHeaney.

  • This Friday 10th Dec is our Food Drive day, when we ask our students to bring in food donations to help those less fortunate in our community. Donations to be put in the crates located in the Main, Lower and Woodside buildings please - and thank you!

  • Please note JUNIOR ORCHESTRA after school today (6th Dec) has had to be CANCELLED due to staff absence.

  • Year 7s have had a great time in Junior Classics Society. Miss Cooper, our Trainee Teacher from Cambridge, has put on some fantastic sessions this term, finishing with an authentic Saturnalia celebration. We wish her all the best for her next professional placement.

  • Well done to our trampolinists who took part in the East Region Schools competition. Both Inter teams won in their age groups and there were individual successes too, all qualifying for the next round in Jan. Many thanks to #HBSRevolutions for their ongoing coaching and support.

  • It's #ThrowbackThursday, where our Art Department shares students' work from previous years. This week's work is by one of our 2021 A Level Photographers, who explored architecture and developed observations into patterns to stunning effect.

  • It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas with our Head Girl and Deputies continuing the annual tradition of decorating the HGS Christmas tree in the main school foyer. The silver, blue and pink tree is looking really festive!

  • Leona (Year 12) has done it again! She has had an excellent weekend of badminton competitions, winning double gold and being crowned U17 National Champion in singles and women's doubles. She also won bronze in mixed doubles. What fantastic results Leona!

  • Please note there will be no Years 9 or 10 Netball Club this Wednesday 1st December.

  • We took part in a national computational/logical thinking competition, #Bebras. Well done to Julian Side, Januja Mohan, Polina Voinova, Ottilie Summerhayes (overall winner), Ellie Wilding, Rose Burberry, Hannah Turner, Vrushti Shah & Cora Lau, who are through to the next round!
